<p>NBG Extreme will be implementing a System5 marketing structure and managing all corporate sponsorship and partnerships for the 2012 race season.</p>

<h4>NBG is managing all aspects of sponsorship and promotion for <a href="http://kiteshake.com">Team KC2012</a>, a kitesurfing team that will attempt a Guinness World Record in Spring 2012.</h4>
<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1367" title="ryan coot" src="http://nbgextreme.com/wp-content/uploads/ryan-coot.png" alt="ryan coot" width="246" height="251" />As part of the sponsorship negotiation, NBG secured O&#8217;Neill as a team sponsor for the challenge. O&#8217;Neill will not only support the KC2012 Team with technical clothing products but have included one of their own Pro Kitesurfers (Ryan Coot, Ireland) to strengthen the team and assist with planning and logistics.</p>
<p>NBG will also be visiting the home beaches of Ryan Coot in Ireland. Our team will be producing a short video documentary to capture and record the teams training and the intensity and harshness of kitesurfing in the Irish winter sea.</p>
<p><strong>A little bit about the O&#8217;Neill brand&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>O’Neill the original Californian surf, snow and lifestyle brand, was founded in 1952 when a young man named Jack O’Neill took his unstoppable passion for surfing at used it to beat mother nature at her own game. O’Neill will be supporting our team and kitting us out, enabling us to keep warm whilst training this winter.</p>

Working predominantly with groups covering both corporate and the stag &amp; hen market, GO AWOL deliver an exciting range of activities that include mountain biking, sea kayaking, surfing and kitesurfing.</strong></p>
<p>NBG has been working with the GO AWOL team to help develop their brand and increase and drive traffic to their already buzzing website and help boost activity bookings. As part of this, NBG have helped optimise website content and developed and implemented a PR strategy to expose their business within key markets including corporate team building and the stag &amp; hen industry.</p>

<h3>Brand Awareness &amp; Lead Generation</h3>
<p>During August, NBG has set-up an exciting competition running with Wedding Ideas magazine, one of the UK&#8217;s leading wedding publications. The competition is to win the ultimate stag or hen party. GO AWOL will provide one lucky stag or hen with a party that will certainly not be forgotten.</p>
<h3>Website Development</h3>
<p>Working with the GO AWOL website has been an interesting project for NBG. Initially, we had planned to work on the site coding and optimisation to assist in increasing organic traffic. However, the issue we faced was the GO AWOL site had been built by another agency and whilst they had made an excellent job of it, the site runs as a heavy e-commerce system which tend not to rank well organically as you are limited with what can be optimised. To combat this, the NBG Digital team have coded and designed a new Blog system for the site which will not only rank highly for key related content but in turn drive a significant amount of traffic through to their booking system.</p>

An challenge in itself, last week we heard on the grapevine that Richard Branson will also be attempting the same challenge with Team Virgin&#8230; the Race is officially on!</h4>
<p>Crossing the English Channel is one thing, a large expanse of water, 20- 24 miles across, subject to where you cross and land and one of the busiest shipping channels in the world. Kiting this expanse of water will be difficult but now add in the fact that we will be leading a team of 10 across you can start to see that this really is an epic challenge.</p>
<p>The reason for leading a team of 10 is an attempt to claim a new Guinness World Record for &#8216;fastest team crossing&#8217;, something that Richard Branson attempted last year with Team Virgin and we believe is attempting again next spring, although we have not had this confirmed by the man himself.<img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1119" title="Guinness World Records" src="http://nbgextreme.com/wp-content/uploads/gwr_logo-120x120.png" alt="Guinness World Records" width="120" height="120" /></p>
<p>Our challenge training and crossing attempt will be filmed and a short film produced which we then hope to promote to the extreme sports channels helping to bring awareness to the sport.</p>
